As a counselor and mother, Melissa specializes in working with women in ALL issues related to becoming a parent. Whether you are struggling to conceive, dealing with overwhelming feelings in pregnancy or postpartum, wondering if becoming a parent is the right choice for you, or dealing with the challengings that parenting brings, Melissa will provide exceptional support. Melissa utilizes an approach that is all-inclusive, non-judgemental and will assist you on your personal journey. You are the expert in your life, and Melissa strongly believes this. She confidently strives to assist individuals in finding the tools to reach their most authentic version of themselves.

Treatment Specialties:

Melissa is a maternal mental health specialist with a perinatal mental health certification. She has been serving women in Guilford County for over a decade. As a counselor and a human, she strives to create a safe and all-inclusive environment, no matter the individual she is helping. Melissa realizes the difficult decisions individuals must make are the best decisions for themselves at that time. This includes the decision to end a pregnancy. No matter your personal belief, you will find support and compassion with her. Melissa has experience working with women dealing with perinatal depression and or anxiety, parenting stress, parenting a child with special needs, relationship issues, miscarriage, abortion, traumatic birth experiences, having a rainbow baby, and fertility challenges.

While she specializes in perinatal mental health, she works to support all women. Anxiety in high-functioning women, navigating challenging relationships and healing mother wounds are some of the issues she has helped many people work through.
