Carolina who specializes in trauma-informed care for active-duty service
members, veterans, and their families. Casie graduated with a Master of
Social Work, having completed a specialized military sub-track to deepen
her understanding of the unique cultural demands and transitions inherent
in the armed forces.
Through her extensive experience working with Marines and their families
in the coastal North Carolina area, Casie has developed a deep passion for
addressing the specific needs of those within specialized military
subcultures. In addition to her clinical work, she is dedicated to navigating
the complexities of military life alongside her clients, ensuring they have
access to informed resources that respect the nuances of their service. Her
background in military social work allows her to bridge the gap between
clinical necessity and the lived reality of the service member experience.
As a Trauma Specialist, Casie is a trained provider of Eye Movement
Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy (CBT), CBT-Insomnia, and Prolonged Exposure Therapy. She
utilizes these evidence-based modalities to help her clients process
operational stress, manage trauma-related symptoms, and build long-term
resilience. Casie uses a grounded, goal-oriented approach to ensure that
every service member and veteran she works with receives the high-level,
specialized care required for their unique journey.
She has been trained in a wide variety of trauma-informed therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), CBT-Insomnia, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). Casie is solution-focused and enjoys incorporating mindfulness and evidence-based behavioral skills into sessions to best serve her clients.
Casie has multiple years of experience working with active duty service members, reservists, veterans, and their families in Eastern North Carolina. Coming from a Marine family, Casie has experience as a military daughter, sibling, and spouse.
