Dawn is a Licensed Clinical Counselor who specializes in treating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and other trauma-related symptoms. Dawn graduated from Norfolk State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She graduated from Liberty University with a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling and earned a Graduate Certificate in Substance Abuse Counseling from East Carolina University.

Through her experience providing counseling for service members, veterans, and their families in the Camp Lejeune, NC area, she has developed a passion for working with combat veterans. In addition to counseling, Dawn has been active in providing veteran services organizations with access to education and resources for combat veterans and their families. She is also a founding member of the PTSD Clinicians Exchange, a project that ensures providers have access to the latest training in order to assist in alleviating symptoms of PTSD.

As a Trauma Specialist, Dawn is a Certified provider of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia, and Image Rehearsal Therapy for nightmares. Dawn uses Mindfulness therapies, Solution Focused, Education and behavioral techniques to help each of her clients.
