Teta Johnson is a licensed clinical mental health counselor associate. She has a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Bachelors in Fine Arts from Arizona State University. Her life path has included art making, trail building, book selling, and desert-dwelling. She is honored to be here in Greensboro helping clients find hope and healing.
Teta has a passion for creating a safe and inclusive space in which clients feel free to be fully themselves. She believes that the therapy process must honor the client’s experiences as well as the identities they hold. Teta enjoys working with both teens and adults and has several years of experience delivering evidence based treatment in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Teta has an art background and enjoys using creative modalities (such as drawing, collage, and creative writing) to assist clients in accessing experiences, emotions, and thoughts in a different way. Through the therapeutic process, Teta supports clients in connecting to their own wisdom and internal resources so that they can move forward in a more authentic and joyful way.
