Therapy is Will’s passion. His sole purpose is to serve as a guide and supportive presence in order to help clients reach their goals. Will Krause was born in Pittsburgh, PA and moved to Charlotte, NC with his family in 1990. He has been a resident of Guilford County since 2000. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration. Will obtained his graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Will is a North Carolina Licensed Professional Counselor, a National Certified Counselor, and a member of the American Counseling Association.

Will works with a variety of clients; focusing on adults and couples who may be struggling with Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Exploration of Sexual Orientation, Anxiety, Grief and Loss, and a variety of relationship issues. His therapeutic approach reflects integrative influences derived from training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Solution Focused Brief-Therapy, as well as Client-Centered Therapy. Will also uses Gestalt Techniques and a Psychodynamic approach when it is warranted with a client. With that said, Will caters the approach to fit the client’s needs and his or her determination of what proves to be most effective.

Seeking therapy is a brave step in a person’s life, so Will puts forth great effort to greet clients warmly, compassionately, and above all else, validate their feelings while forming the therapeutic relationship.
