Tamesha received her Bachelor of Social Work with a concentration in psychology from Winston Salem State University. She received her Master of Social Work from The Joint Program at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical University and The University of Greensboro College. Tamesha is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist. Tamesha is certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy to assist clients with processing symptoms related to traumatic events.

Tamesha has experience working with a diverse population of clients that may experience the following concerns: Depression, Mood disorders, trauma and stress-related disorders, Anxiety, Grief and loss, anger management, self-esteem and a variety of relationship concerns. Tamesha specializes in treating addictive disorders that range from substance use, sexual addictions, and gambling addictions. Tamesha utilizes an integrative approach when providing therapy to clients based on their individual needs. Tamesha has experience utilizing a variety of treatment modalities that allows her to tailor treatment to the individual person by integrating Cognitive Behavioral techniques, Solution-focused techniques, Mindfulness techniques, person-centered, reality therapy, and Cognitive Processing techniques. Tamesha believes that therapy is a collaborative relationship that is based on trust and rapport in order to encourage true transparency. She believes that each session should be approached with empathy in order to allow clients to embark in a transformative experience developed to help improve their quality of life. She believes that her true calling in life is to help individuals discover their purpose and find solutions to a wide range of life challenges.
