Solana was born and raised in North Carolina. She attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she earned a BA in Psychology. After graduating Solana worked in various educational and research settings with children and adolescents. She developed a passion for child and adolescent issues and how those issues follow individuals into adulthood. Solana received a Master’s of Science in Counseling at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Solana is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate, Nationally Certified Counselor, and is a member of multiple counseling associations including the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors and American Mental Health Counselors Association.

Solana works with a variety of clients with a focus on adolescents and young adults. Solana uses an adaptive approach to offer the best treatment for each individual client. Solana has training and experience working with anxiety, personal development, exploration of family of origin issues, and LGBTQ+ related concerns.
