Jessica Kowalski Price, MS, LPCA
Therapist / Child and Adolescent Specialist
Jessica was born in Büchenbeuren, Germany while her father was serving in the U.S. Air Force, and later moved back to North Carolina. Jessica knew early on that she had a passion for serving others, especially children. Jessica received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, earning her Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Jessica then worked as a research assistant and a therapeutic day treatment provider. Jessica later received her Graduate Degree from Radford University earning her Masters of Science in Counseling Education. Jessica has also worked as a school-based therapist, CPS social worker, and a family centered therapist/assessor. Jessica’s passion to help others has led her to volunteer work with the Special Olympics and serving to the needs of the homeless. She knows how quickly kids seem to grow up in today’s modern society, and the pitfalls that many of these children, adolescents, and young adults face every day. She uses this understanding to design a tailored program of therapy to help with many of these problems.
Jessica has training and experience in depression, anxiety, social issues, children with special needs, educational based needs, feelings of being outcast, issues with bullying, and problems related to childhood growth and development. Childhood is a time of tremendous growth and personal change that happens at a much faster rate, due to catalysts like the internet, social pressures, drugs, alcohol, and the media. Often times during these periods of development, children and teens need support while adapting and navigating through life’s struggles in order to maintain a healthy path.
Jessica engages in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Jessica works with issues including: trauma, behavioral problems, ADHD, parenting support, depression, anxiety, and grief and loss.
