Alyse Pait, a Greensboro native, is a licensed professional counselor, a certified rehabilitation counselor, and a trained facilitator for Mental Health First Aid. She received her undergraduate degrees in Elementary Education and Psychology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and obtained her graduate degree in Rehabilitation and Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Alyse has worked in various inpatient and outpatient mental health settings, including the public school system, Central Regional Hospital, and in private clinical counseling. She has numerous years of experience providing individual, child/couple/family, and group psychotherapy, completing psychological assessments, and working with other professionals to create and implement appropriate plans of treatment.
Alyse believes that recovery, in whatever sense, is a journey, not a destination. Alyse focuses on meeting the client where they are and assisting in the healing and growth process. She has a vast knowledge of evidenced-based therapies (Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Brief-Solution Focused Therapy, etc.), as well as an understanding other holistic methods of treatment.
